COMPANY
Automobile manufacturer, founded 16-Jun-1903 by Henry Ford. The company's other auto brands include Lincoln and Mercury, and Ford also maintains a minority interest in automakers Aston Martin and Mazda. Other subsidiaries include The Hertz Corporation, Ford Motor Credit Company, and Motorcraft auto parts. In 2008, Ford sold the Jaguar and Land Rover nameplates to Tata Group. Acquired Volvo in 1999, and sold it to Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group in 2010.
