CAST REVIEWS Review by Michael Johnson (posted on 21-Oct-2007) John Payne does a great job here coming across as intelligent & gentle but tough when the action called for it. The story line at times is a little campy; but, hey, that was Hollywood in the 50s. I really enjoyed it and hope others will get a greater appreciation of the post-WWII era, especially how the love story blossoms and the special relationship between Payne's character and the store clerk who wants to help him get to Mexico. I'll be watching it again when I'm looking for a tear-jerker ending and to reminisce about life in the 50s.
