CAST REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 28-Jul-2006) A "Swashbuckler" movie.
Beautifully photographed. No man was ever more handsome than Tyrone
Power. He also had a great speaking voice. Few people could portray an
"evil person" as well as John Sutton. Ceasar Romero's greatest role
& performance as Cortez. Beautiful soundtrack. Alfred Newman's
"Conquest" was perfect. This music is perhaps best known as USC's fight
song. Actual smoking volcanos in the background magnificently projected
on the screen. And, last, but certainly not least, here is a 20-year
Jean Peters. This was her first picture. Fresh off the Ohio State
campus, she was so fresh & beautiful in her role as a tavern girl,
she literally makes your heart ache in each of her scenes. A fantastic
motion picture!
