I ran across this film recently on TCM. To my surprise I found myself watching Angie Dickenson and Rock Hudson sensationalizing high school teacher/student sex relationships. Rock Hudson's character (postured as a likeable guy) would have sex with students and then kill them to cover it up, all the while encouraging Angie Dickenson's character (another likeably postured subject) to act upon her impulses and have sex with a male student. The set-up for this is Dickenson's character invites a student to her home for tutoring after she obviously finds him sexually attractive at school. All this at the suggestion of Rock Hudson's character whom, folloing a sexual encounter with Dickenson's character at school, tells her to basically go for it! I found the shallow storyling to be very similar to that of many XXX-rated films of the 1970's and the positive character slant of the two lead actors very disturbing. My take on this film is that it could not have possibly been enjoyed by anyone other than people whom enjoy the films adult/child sex or child/adult sex theme. I am surprised it was ever allowed to be made and anyone responsible in any part for this film being made/seen should not be working in the business and should be ashamed of themselves! This is a child predators must see! Mary Kay Letourneau gives it a TWO THUMBS UP!
