The Raven (25-Jan-1963)
Director: Roger Corman Writer: Richard Matheson From poem: The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe Music by: Les Baxter Producer: Roger Corman Keywords: Horror/Comedy Evil sorcerer Boris Karloff has turned wizard Peter Lorre into a raven, who seeks Vincent Price's assistance to be turned back into a man. Lorre tells Price that his wife, long thought dead, is with Karloff. A showdown will occur at Karloff's castle. No terror; silly comedy is Poe in name only.
The Time magazine review of this film describes Hazel Court as "a lusty redhead... with a cleavage that could comfortably accommodate the collected works of Edgar Allan Poe and a bottle of his favorite booze besides."
