From the Earth to the Moon (26-Nov-1958)

Director: Byron Haskin Writers: Robert Blees; James Leicester From novel: De la Terre à la Lune by Jules Verne Musical Score: Louis Forbes Producer: Benedict Bogeaus Keywords: Sci-Fi, Space Exploration Joseph Cotton plays Victor Barbicane, who in the days after the US Civil War has invented a new explosive, "Power X", originally intended as a weapon but as it turns out, powerful enough to send a manned vessel to the moon. Once in space, they must cope with sabotage and a pretty stowaway. Adaptation of Verne's book with wooden acting, embarrassingly bad special effects, and worst of all, devoid of all charm.
