REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 21-Jun-2005) I was an extra in this
film, production started in 1969. I was one of the deputies in the
film. It was a very enjoyable film to work on...the principals were all
very congenial and cordial to work with. The film was shot in the
Dallas area, with the bank robbery sequences filmed in Cradall, Texas.
Other sites were in Dallas and at Lake Lewisville. I was living in
Andrews, Texas and saw that the film was playing at the local theater.
It was far from the best film that I have seen, but it was far from the
worst. With more funding, it could have been a very good production.
The chase scenes were very well done and the editing was good. Fabian
Forte needed to be a little colder and ruthless. He came across as a
nice guy. This a role in which a young Jack Nicholson would have
excelled. The rest of the cast were also a little too "Pretty" and
really did not depict the hardness of the times or the depression. A
fair little film that with a few changes could have been good.
