REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 9-Jan-2007) I was a cadet at St. Catherine's Military School in Anaheim California when this film was made there in 1955. As an eleven year old, having the opportunity to be in this film and meeting Charleton Heston was a wonderful experience. The film provides a glimpse of life at a Catholic military school where Major Benson (Heston) is assigned as "punshment" for being to tough on his Army subordinates. When he arrives at "Sheridan Military Academy" he eventually gets softened up by the cadets and their beautiful nurse (Julie Adams). After this film was completed, Heston went to Egypt to star in "The Ten Commandments." This a a wonderful family film, but falls short of the telling the truth about life in private military school where the commandant was not as nice as Major Benson and corporal punishment was handed out daily.
