REVIEWS Review by Bill Stimson (posted on 8-Aug-2007) The film tells a noble story, although "noble" is not a particularly welcome characteristic these days. But I find that the chaacterizations in the film are realistic and reminiscent of men that I knew in my youth, both good and bad. That's the beauty of the story---ordinary people, complete with their vices, can overcome these limitations and achieve a noble thing.
Is this idea too incredible? Well, it is the basis of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Have we suceeded, despite ourselves? I think so, and for the same reason that the New York Mammoths succeeded. Go see the movie. If you've already seen it, go see it again.
Do you know something we don't?
