Fighter Squadron (19-Nov-1948)
Director: Raoul Walsh Writers: Seton I. Miller; Martin Rackin Music by: Max Steiner Producer: Seton I. Miller Keywords: Action/Adventure, WWII A maverick Flying Tiger who refuses to conform is put in charge of his own fighter squadron, with the expected results. Jingoistic to the extent that it feels like a propaganda film made during the war. Action shots were taken from genuine combat footage, but new shots of German craft had to use American P-51s painted with iron crosses, because of the dearth of ME-109s after the war. A young Rock Hudson is given one uncredited line in the Officers Club.
