The Scarlet Clue (11-May-1945)
Director: Phil Rosen Writer: George Callahan Musical Director: Edward J. Kay Producer: James S. Burkett Keywords: Mystery, Charlie Chan After a scientist/spy is murdered aboard a boat while under the surveillance of the New York police, Charlie Chan follows clues that take him to the Cosmo Radio Center, coincidentally located in the same building as the Hamilton Laboratory, performing important radar research. An array of suspects dwindles as several are murdered by diabolical means. In perhaps the highlight of the film, Chan's chauffeur Birmingham Brown engages in an exceptionally funny dialogue with Ben Carter. Among the better Charlie Chan offerings.
