Bronson (Oct-2008)
Director: Nicolas Winding Refn Writers: Brock Norman Brock; Nicolas Winding Refn Keywords: Thriller Biopic chronicles the incarceration of Charles Bronson, Britain's most violent inmate, whose genius and brutality rise to the level of art.
ABSTRACT Notorious British criminal Charles Bronson was a nineteen-year old named Michael Peterson when he decided he wanted to be a celebrity, attempting to rob a post office in 1974 and receiving a seven-year prison sentence for his trouble. Fights with guards and fellow prisoners plus another robbery conviction during his brief stint as a free man extended his sentence to thirty-four years and counting, thirty of which were spent in solitary confinement. Bronson dramatizes Charles' curious life for the silver screen, portraying a troubled young man's metamorphosis into a violent criminal consumed by his alter ego.
