REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 31-Jan-2007) One Night with the king is a historical love story about King Xerxes who over throw his queen and sets on a quest to find a new one. Being summoned to the kingdom, Haddassah, later known as Esther, is chosen to be the queen. Esther goes through an inner struggle as she tries to save her people while saving her own life. Ester risks her life by going to the king without being summoned. I give this movie two thumbs up. Even if you have read the true bible version of the story of Esther, this movie will keep you guessing on whats going to happen next.
Review by vc (posted on 10-Jun-2007) I love that Esther stood up for her people and was proud of her heritage, as are all of God's people. Luke Goss made a very convincing king. Haman played a convinving enemy of the Jews. The costumes were beautiful, and Mordecai was outstanding. I loved this.
