REVIEWS Review by David E (posted on 21-Mar-2005) I remember seeing this movie as a kid. I remember being scared to death for several weeks. I was afraid that one of the monsters was going to snatch me from my room and eat me and spit out my clothes. I watched this again today (thanks to being able to find it on e-bay).
What was I scared of? What a cheesy movie. The special effects are lame. Ok I guess for 1966, but really bad. It was fun to watch to see this cinematic marvel I guess, just to reminisce.
Review by Natale Petronaci (posted on 19-Nov-2007) Three stars for just the sheer horror of this film. I first saw this film in the sixth grade in the auditorium on some half day before a holiday or something, at Sacred Heart School in Newark. But I never forgot this film, it made an impression on me maybe because the fear of just thinking of one of these things getting loose in your neighborhood. I was able to order it on VHS in about 1986 and I still watch it from time to time. The special effects are terrible now that you watch it compared to todays technology, the tanks just wobble around and the soldiers in the tanks are obviously plastic green toy soldiers but what the heck it was 1966 or abouts..To sum up I think its a very enjoyable movie if you can get past the effects even though the monsters do look pretty good.
