ABSTRACT
Roxie Hart, a Vaudeville-enamored wannabe starlet accused of murdering her boyfriend after his promises of bringing her fame fell through, and Velma Kelly, a bombshell club singer fresh off of murdering her husband and sister after discovering them in bed together, each value their lives as much as they cherish their mutual dream of fame. Working with sharp-tongued lawyer Billy Flynn, the murderesses embark on a wild campaign for redemption, looking to curry the favor of an all-too-sympathetic general public as they seek to use their respective artistic pursuits to avoid execution in 1920s Chicago, Illinois.
