She finds it may be more necessary to educate the King himself. Deborah Kerr takes the part played by Gertrude Lawrence (who was in declining health) from the stage version. Won Oscars for Best Actor, Best Score, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design and Best Sound Recording; received nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Cinematography.
