ABSTRACT Magazine sales executive Dan Foreman is demoted from his position when his employer is acquired and restructured, forced to report to business-school stereotype Carter Duryea as his new boss. Tensions stemming from middle-aged Dan's traditionalist methods of conducting business running up against Carter's number-crunching mentality reach a breaking point when Carter divorces his wife of seven months and begins seeing Alex, Dan's teenage daughter.
REVIEWS Review by Lexi (posted on 14-Mar-2005) Dennis Quaid plays Dan Foreman who just got a new boss Carter Duryea who is half his age. Dan has two daughters Alex, age 18 and Jana, age 16 and is shocked when his wife tells him she is going to have another baby. Carter in the meantime is dumped by his wife of seven months just as he gets his new promotion. Dan and Carter's uneasy friendship is thrown into jeopardy when Carter begins an affair with Dan's daughter, Alex.
