A woman murders her wealthier, widowed twin sister and assumes her identity, but this charade proves more difficult than planned. Clever script, a wonderful performance from Bette Davis, well-supported by the cast; occasionally bordering on campy. Lana Turner turned down the role. Davis also played good/evil sisters in A Stolen Life (1946).
