Tension at Table Rock (3-Oct-1956)
Director: Charles Marquis Warren Writer: Winston Miller From novel: Bitter Sage by Frank Gruber Music Composed and Conducted by: Dimitri Tiomkin Producer: Sam Wiesenthal Keywords: Western A gunslinger has an undeserved reputation of having shot his best friend in the back, the false story immortalized in a popular ballad. Escaping his past by using an alias and keeping a low profile, trouble seems to find him anyway. But it is difficult to remain aloof when the town's ineffectual sheriff is unable to cope as they are inundated with lawless cowboys during a seasonal cattle drive. Good B-western; some plot similarities to Shane (1953), though not as well-paced.
