Serial Mom (13-Apr-1994)
Director: John Waters Writer: John Waters Keywords: Dark Comedy A suburban housewife with a deceiving demeanor goes to murderous lengths to defend her family's sensibilities.
ABSTRACT Beverly Sutphin, picture-perfect suburban homemaker married to a dentist with two lovely children, maintains a Jekyll-and-Hyde sort of existence, defending her family against a series of minor grievances and slights with obscene phone calls to offending neighbors and acts of blackmail. Beverly's willingness to go to ridiculous lengths for the good of her family leads to her eventual undoing when she stages a number of comically macabre murders. An entertaining watch for fans of director John Waters' body of work.
