This film is what I call a very wholesome movie about a widow who has six children no money, and no place to live yet gets into her car with her children and just the clothes on her back and goes where her instinct takes her and the kids. They find a place to live but the home must be built to completion whereby (Kathy Bates), gets a job, buys the house and makes a home for everyone. It's a movie full of down home homilies, wisdom, a bit of comedy and lot of lifes ups and downs, but with the entire family working together to form one union, they all make this true story a piece of work. I recommend it. Keep in mind, the movie is set in 1962 but it's still good. It's nice to see Kathy Bates once again taking charge, but this time for the greater good of herself and her family.
