REVIEWS Review by Ryan (posted on 5-Mar-2005) I've never given a review before and I am no critic, I am simply a movie lover and know good film when I see it. I was mesemerized by the realism of this film, I was once a gambler and lived a fast life and this was the first movie of it's type that stirred genuine emotions from that past -- it was dead on. Elliott Gould knew his character and portrayed him brilliantly. The reason I wrote this however, was to applaud one of the best endings I've ever witnessed in film. "It doesn't mean a fucking thing does it..." , one of the best one liners ever uttered in film to my knowledge. That one line conveys the bigger picture of the two characters and one I may never forget. I only gave this picture three and a half stars because I felt some of the writing was a bit weak. But I loved the film and will be on the lookout for more films with Elliott Gould. See this film!
