REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 20-Jun-2005) Although the plot and the action in this
independent flic was thin, the costumes were terrific and the cameo
performances by the professional actors were quite good. George
Hamilton came off as his usual bored impression of himself, but reacted
well with his co-actors and certainly showcased his tan. Bridgit
Nielson's writing and acting seemed wooded, but gave this indie a
"kitsch" feel and provided some fun for the audience. The show revolved
around a fashion designer's revenge on her mentor, causing her to
produce a line of terrible designs that become overnight successes
anyway. Isn't that just like Hollywood and the Fashionistas! The star
of the show was really the massive number of costumes designed and
produced by Lola Lombard. Ms. Lombard is a real find and should be
sought after by "indie" producers and upmarket productions as well. Her
creativity and scope were teriffic, as was the range of both her "good"
designs and purposefully "bad" ones as well.
Review by Rebecca (posted on 28-Feb-2005) I gave this movie a half star only because my son was an extra in it. George Hamilton was his usual clever self but the rest of the film was awful. It was tediously boring, badly acted, and had a tiresome plot. But as terrible as it was, I'd love to find a copy of it. However I don't believe it was ever publicly released. This is one of those movies you might see on Mystery Science Theater 3000, except it's not even that good.
