Two criminals' plans to extort a real-estate developer by kidnapping his wife backfire when he decides not to pay her ransom.

ABSTRACT
Two-bit crook Louis Gara and partner Ordell Robbie kidnap corrupt Detroit real-estate tycoon Frank Dawson's wife Mickey, intending to use her to extort a million dollars from him by dangling the threat of exposing insider information about his slimy business practices. Complications arise when Frank, having already initiated plans to divorce Mickey and marry his mistress, decides not to pay her ransom; caught by surprise, our duo must decide what to do next, hiding out alongside their precious cargo in the company of a peculiar man obsessed with Nazi artifacts.
