ABSTRACT Manhattan-based publicist Ollie Trinke is a workaholic and soon-to-be family man, enjoying the company of wife Gertrude with a baby on the way. Gertrude dies during childbirth, destroying Ollie's psyche as the pressures of widowed fatherhood wear down upon him and get him fired from his job. It is now up to Ollie to pick up the pieces and move on when he is forced to relocate to his father's home in nearby New Jersey, doing his best to raise his daughter while entertaining new love in the form of tempting local Maya.
