ABSTRACT Chris Smith, a 22-year old drug dealer living in West Dallas, Texas, is immersed in excessive amounts of debt to a litany of loan sharks. Facing a potential execution at the hands of his creditors, Chris ultimately decides to murder his mother with an intent to collect on her $50,000 life insurance policy, hiring a police officer and part-time hitman known as "Killer" Joe Cooper to perform the dirty work for him after successfully convincing other family members of the merits of his plan.
