A disaffected married couple living on the precipice of divorce must cope with the news of their son's shooting spree and subsequent suicide at his college campus.

ABSTRACT
Bill and Kate, a loveless married couple united only by their mutual love for emotionally-affected college-attending son Sam, find their lives turned upside down in the worst way imaginable when they are informed that Sam was the lone gunman in a shooting spree at his school that saw him picking off seventeen professors and a handful of classmates before taking his own life. Denial turns to agony as husband and wife struggle to wrap their minds around their offspring committing such an act, contending with an ensuing media circus and outrage from various elements of their community as the days wear on.
