REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 29-Jan-2007) This is an exceptionally funny movie written by Neil Simon and Cesare Zavattini. Peter Sellers is brilliant (I like this one over most of his Pink Panther roles). It is some what of an unknown or obscure (almost comedy cult) film but for those who appreciate the brilliance of Peter Sellers and his style of acting, you will not be disappointed. It is a timeless work of comedy. Victor Mature shows a humurous side not often seen in his roles. The directing (Vittorio de Sica, Oscar winner of The Bicycle Thief) is sometimes simplistic and almost amateur while at the same time the work of a master. The story and Vittorio de Sica take a humorous jab at the Neo-Realist film genre popular in the fifties and early sixties. -GL
