ABSTRACT Christian O'Donnell, a gentile American man, falls in love with Alison Marks, the Jewish daughter of a rabbi, claiming to be a Jew named Avi Rosenberg in order to stoke their flame without drawing the ire of her father. Eager to continue his ruse, Christian consults with childhood friend Adam Lipschitz for advice on "acting Jewish", embarking on a ridiculous journey filled with twists and turns as Adam attempts to balance his friend's problems with relationship troubles of his own.
