Three Strangers (28-Jan-1946)
Director: Jean Negulesco Writers: John Huston; Howard Koch Music by: Adolph Deutsch Producer: Wolfgang Reinhardt Keywords: Dark Comedy, Wish, Lottery A woman collects together three unsympathetic strangers, including herself, to make a wish before a statue of Kwan Yin, the Chinese God of Luck and Fortune which will surely come true. They are an alcoholic, an embezzler, and a manipulative nymphomaniac. The three make an unbreakable agreement (break it, luck would forfeit) to share any winnings from the purchase of a lottery ticket tide to the Grand National horse race. Though they disperse, their stories will inevitably reconverge.
