Two inner-city Los Angelenos struggle to rise above the temptations of a life of crime.

ABSTRACT
Jim Davis, war veteran raised on the rough streets of south-central Los Angeles, returns home with the intent to become a man of the law, only to end up pondering a position with the Department of Homeland Security after the LAPD crushes his dreams by refusing to accept him into the force. Dejected yet eager to provide for his Mexican girlfriend, Jim begins to sink back into his old ways, teaming up with old buddy Mike to commit a series of crimes that may very well jeopardize their shots at happier futures down the road.
