A dying Indian tells Mackenna, the town sheriff, the location of a legendary lost valley of gold. Since he's actually been there he does not believe a word of it, but others do -- townsfolk, bandits, and cavalry. A roster of big-name actors are quickly killed early in the movie, to little purpose. Entertaining western, but should have been better considering the talent and budget.
