The Harder They Fall |
REVIEWS Review by Peter Vaka (posted on 14-Sep-2007) This was the last major release that Jerry ever made. The film was shot in and around Pompano Beach, Florida. As the director of the documentary of the making of the film I was on the set every day. Unfortuneately many of the best scenes never made it into the final editor's version. Jerry did an entire scene aboard the Goodyear Blimp and appeared in drag (the only time he was ever in drag) as a tennis player at Palm Aire.
The film is classic Jerry with his unique brand of humor but also shows the "other" Jerry that most people never see. This is the serious Jerry who secretly desires to be a singer and a dramatic actor, neither of which he does very well.
Jerry if you should read this we love you and will never forget the experience.
