CAST REVIEWS Review by Dougie Williams (posted on 2-Jun-2007) This is one of the cutest & most entertaining films I think I have ever seen. I recorded it to VHS back in the early 90s & my two daughters loved it as well.
Bushrod Gentry(Robert Taylor), was a confirmed bachelor, but loved the women. He would make the women swoon & then leave, making his way across the wilderness. Then he met his match...Eleanor Parker was gorgeous & determined to make him hers. Right down to a gunshot wedding, supported by her burley Father & her Brothers.!!
From then on, it is a comedy roller coaster ride. He runs, while she follows (Walking Woman) with her Indian shadow close behind. They encounter hostile Indians, etc. z& she is great with that whip!.
Clean-cut fun & entertainment for the whole family!!!
Review by heda (posted on 28-Sep-2005) The movie is hilarious. Eleanor Parker and Robert Taylor have great chemistry. Robert Taylor is handsome and plays comedy with great patience and deliverance. Eleanor Parker is beautiful, especially with long red hair stremming down her back wearing buckskins and frighting an Indian with a whip. She could give Harrison Ford a lesson in the use of whipping your foe, as his Indiana Jones character he plays so well. All cast members make the show seems like you could be transported to early colonial USA.
