A television cameraman is struck by a NFL running back; his brother-in-law attorney, who is a bit of a shyster, encourages him to falsely claim injury. Good chemistry between Lemmon and Matthau in this intelligent Billy Wilder comedy. Walter Matthau received the Oscar for Best Actor, and the film received three other nominations including Best Screenplay.
