Bus Stop (31-Aug-1956)
Director: Joshua Logan Writer: George Axelrod From a play: Bus Stop by William Inge Music: Alfred Newman; Cyril J. Mockridge Producer: Buddy Adler Keywords: Romantic Drama, Rodeo Beauregard "Bo" Decker, a cowboy who has barely set foot in the world outside of a ranch, travels to Phoenix as a rodeo contestant, and maybe more importantly to find himself a woman. Unfortunately he falls for Cherie, played by Marilyn Monroe in one of her better roles; the attraction is not fully reciprocated. Based on a one-act play by William Inge, People in the Wind, which he later adapted for Broadway as Bus Stop. Don Murray received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
