REVIEWS Review by Jim Ottesen (posted on 9-May-2008) One of the best chick flicks ever made, even though it takes place during the Viet Nam war. It is realistic in the way the doctors had to work and try and save lives of wounded soldiers in a tent hospital, MASH-like, setting. What makes it a "chick flick" is the tear-jerker ending. Though set in Viet Nam, it is not a political-type film at all. It delivers a tender love story mixed in with tense dramatic moments in combat in a very engaging way. One of those films you can watch over and over again without tiring.
