ABSTRACT
Standing as a parody of the biopic genre in general, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story centers on its titular character, a rock'n'roll legend (and amalgam of real-life industry figures running the gamut from Buddy Holly to Elvis Presley and Brian Wilson) born in the backwater town of Springberry, Alabama in 1946 who overcomes a panoply of ridiculous obstacles like a tough upbringing, changing musical tastes in modern American society, and a vaunted libido on his way to becoming a timeless giant of his genre.
