REVIEWS Review by joeness (posted on 5-Sep-2005) The remake that shouldn't have been made. Many people have said that this version looked better. I think the zombies looked to fake in the 1990 version. I think the original was such an overpowering piece of film that the only point to the remake was for everyone to get some rightful recognition. In the featurette "the Dead Walk" Savini explains why they had to do it. Something to do with publishing rights at the time of the original... Back to it though... This remake was pale in comparison, sorry. If you want to see a remake of a Romero film, watch 2004's Dawn of the Dead. That one is a very well done horror film.
