Socs attack two greasers, Johnny and Ponyboy, nearly drowning Ponyboy in a public fountain; Johnny ends the fight by stabbing to death the attacking Soc. To avoid the law they run off to live in an abandoned church. A rather melodramatic adaptation of S. E. Hinton's classic novel, poorly paced but still quite watchable.
