Set at the elegant and decadent gourmet restaurant Le Hollondais, vulgar and sadistic gangster Albert Spica's wife Georgina has an affair with another regular patron, librarian Michael; Albert has the librarian killed. Georgina concocts a plan of revenge with the help of Hollondais' cook. Visually mesmerizing cinematography, original use of color composition, and first-rate acting highlight this disturbing masterpiece.
