The Outlaw (5-Feb-1943)
Director: Howard Hughes Writer: Jules Furthman Musical Direction: Victor Young Producer: Howard Hughes Keywords: Western Billy the Kid interacts with Doc Holliday and Pat Garrett. Notable as the debut of the smouldering 19-year-old Jane Russell and her cleavage as Rio. Billy the Kid romances Rio, but both Holliday and Garrett seem caught in their own homoerotic triangle over the much younger Billy the Kid. Victor Young's adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Pathetique symphony makes for one of the worst scores ever to adorn a motion picture.
