Nosferatu (5-Mar-1922)
Original Title: Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens Director: F. W. Murnau Writer: Henrik Galeen From novel: Dracula by Bram Stoker Keywords: Horror, Vampire Estate agent Thomas Hutter journeys to the Carpathian Mountains to broker the sale of a house in Wisborg to the unnaturally grotesque Count Orlok. While the names have been changed to satisfy the Stoker estate, this is the first appearance in cinema of Dracula. Powerful evocation, if overly dramatic at times, and a landmark of filmmaking. Several variations are extant, including a good 2007 restoration by Luciano Berriatúa.
