ABSTRACT
Edmond, a crotchety old man holding on to his last shreds of independence in the face of his advanced age, suffers a bad fall that results in his son placing him in a care facility and selling his vacated apartment. Defiant, Edmond forms an emotional bond with younger caretaker Rose and moves into her home, though complications arise when he is repeated missing from the facility.
