A group five working Anglican nuns depart Calcutta for the Himalayas, to open a convent and dispensary in an abandoned palace which functioned as the Rajah's bordello. The combination of the exotic location and other more corporeal distractions challenge the cohesiveness of their group. Won Oscars for Best Cinematography and Best Set Decoration.
