Sports comedy follows a teenage orphan's unlikely rise to NBA superstardom after discovering a pair of enchanted sneakers.

ABSTRACT
Fourteen-year old orphan Calvin Cambridge discovers a pair of old shoes with "M.J." mysteriously initialed onto them while out with friends and fellow orphans one fateful day. Struck by lightning along with the shoes in question when he sets out to retrieve them on a stormy night, Calvin develops incredible basketball-playing abilities contingent upon his wearing of the shoes, parlaying his new skills into an unlikely spell with the NBA's cellar-dwelling Los Angeles Knights alongside a host of true-life basketball stars.
