ABSTRACT
The waning influence of ancient China's third-century Han Dynasty saw prime minister Cao Cao compelling Emperor Han to embark on an expansionist campaign to unite China's numerous kingdoms under his rule and extend his reign. Red Cliff follows Han as his move to declare war on the rival kingdoms of Xu and East Wu bring about the cataclysmic Battle of Red Cliff.
