Two men, Brendan O'Malley and Dana Stribling, the former a wanted fugitive and latter a lawman pursuing him, temporarily suspend their differences when they are hired by the Breckenridge family, expatriate Southerners in Mexico, to drive a herd of cattle northward to Texas. Romantic complications ensue, arising from the status of the Breckenridge's 16-year-old daughter.
