Joan Crawford plays Monica Rivers, owner of an English traveling circus at which one gory murder after another occurs; meanwhile a string of men much younger than she deserves are inexplicably attracted to her. Public fascination with the morbid mean soaring gross receipts for the circus as the death toll escalates, and suspicion falls on Monica for this reason. Overacted high camp, with Joan Crawford a cougar in leotards.
