REVIEWS Review by Movie Maniac (posted on 30-Dec-2007) This film is likely to never be considered any of its stars best work. Yet there really is a great deal to like about it and the farther into it one gets the more palatable it becomes.
Its basically a story about boy meets girl, boy loses girl and then boy "gets" girl... emphasis on the "gets girl".
In a farcical depiction of the progression of a relationship mainly based on physical and material attraction the inevitable blow-up becomes a vendetta-like see-saw of vindictiveness.
The subsequent reconciliation proposed by Seth (French Stewart)
to Chelsea (Brigitte Wilson) seems to be a bit too good to be true and the subsequent wait for the "hammer to fall" brings the movie to life. Side stories of the stress their strained relationship puts on mutual friends (Tyra Banks and Bill Bellamy) as well as the change in the relationship of two romantically involved characters in a t.v. sit-com that Seth
writes for adds to the tension that is soon to be resolved by the surprise reconciliation. To reveal any more of the plot would ruin a very satisfying and entertaining conclusion.
